It's not often I get to write about the NFL on my photography blog, but today that's just what I'm going to do. If you're just in this for the pictures, feel free to scroll through and skip my ranting.
A while back I had the pleasure of taking family portraits for Daniel and Naomi, a fun couple with great kids and conflicting team loyalties. At the end of the session, they went back inside and all came back decked out in their team gear! They had a great time playing football (or trying), despite the cold weather.
Anyway, I bring this out now to have a chance to talk about the team and my thoughts. Most of you know I'm a Packer fan and that isn't going to change. I love this team, and through the ups and downs I'll stick by them. It's been a rough year with receivers that can't get open and struggle with drops, and an O-line that can't stay healthy. That said, I think we come ready to play this week and crush the Vikings. Sorry Daniel, but you picked the wrong colors.
A winning record and playoff spot are nice, but they're deceptively good for the quality of our offensive play. Thankfully our defense has been good, and that shouldn't change next year. I think we'll have an outstanding team next year, especially without the really high expectations fans brought into this 2015 season. Here's to looking forward to as far as we go in the playoffs, and hopefully a better 2016 with Jordy Nelson healthy again :)
Thanks again Naomi and Daniel for sharing your time with me!
