I'm always looking for more opportunities to shoot, use my skills, and give to others. In this pursuit, I recently came in contact with Magic Hour, an organization that pairs cancer patients and their families with photographers. It gives them an opportunity capture the joy in life together, even while going through some very hard times.
I love that this organization is finding ways to show beauty and love in the midst of pain, and I love that the need is something I can be a part of with my abilities. It's one thing to support charities and missions organizations financially, but another to find a way to make a hands-on contribution. Don't get me wrong, financial support is still rewarding (and if you're looking for an organization to give to, I recommend Tiny Hands International - https://www.tinyhands.org/), but never before have I found an organization with needs that so suited my skill set.
Needless to say, I'm excited to announce that I am now a Magic Hour Photographer. If you or anyone you know is battling cancer and would like to capture the hope in their life, please reach out to Magic Hour. They'll pair you with a photographer who can meet your needs (hopefully me!)
